PTSO Scholarship Opportunity

The South County High School PTSO is pleased to offer achievement-based scholarships to well-rounded graduating seniors pursuing full-time higher education at a two- or four-year college or university or technical/vocational institute.

All applications are reviewed anonymously by an impartial selection committee and are evaluated on the following criteria:  academic and other achievement, extra-curricular activities, letter of recommendation, essay submission, community involvement, leadership, and overall quality of application.


  • Applicant must be a senior at South County High School graduating in June of the current academic year.
  • Minimum weighted GPA of 3.0
  • Student and/or student’s parent/guardian must be a paid member of the South County High School PTSO as of January 31st of the student’s graduation year.  To verify membership status, contact the Membership Chairperson at
  • Applicant must be accepted by a college or post-secondary institution at the time the scholarship is paid.
  • No preference will be given to applicants based on race, religion, nationality, gender, physical handicap, economic background, or length of time enrolled at South County High School.


  • Scholarship winners are announced at the Senior Awards Ceremony in June.
